NASDA focuses exclusively on promoting US made food products in overseas markets. It sponsors an annual show in Chicago in concert with the Global Food and Style Expo at Chicago’s McCormick Place in conjunction with the Food Marketing Institute’s Supermarket Industry Exposition, which attracts supermarket industry executives from around the world. The 2005 show will feature five events at one location—The FMI (Food Marketing Institute) Show, Fancy Food Show, U.S. Food Export Showcase, United Produce Expo and Conference, and All Things Organic.

Food Export USA—Northeast is a nonprofit organization that promotes the export of food and agricultural products from the northeast region of the United States. The organization has been helping exporters of northeast food and agricultural products sell their goods overseas since 1973, when it was first created as a cooperative effort between ten northeastern state agricultural promotion agencies and the United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS). Food Export USA, in conjunction with its member states, provides a wide range of services to facilitate trade between local food companies and importers around the world. These services include: export promotion, customized export assistance, and a cost-share funding program.

Food Export USA member states include Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachu­setts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
